Michele Carey, known by her birth name Michele Lee Henson, born in Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America, is the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, physician, a Thelma Brennell Henson. When she was in her teens, Michele was a master at piano. When she was thirteen she won a contest in Chicago Music Festival. In Fort Collins, Colorado she settled with her family. She attended the high school in Fort Collins High School and graduated in 1960.
